How It Works
One large generator. Or many, working as one.

The SMART Generator Array
Many smaller drives on a common support shaft, linked by rigid ties. Stators activate to match available torque, in real time. An electromagnetic coupler lets the array disconnect from the capture mechanism and be driven by stored energy.

Built and tested

Proof-of-concept
The array isn't theory. It's built.
A working proof-of-concept has been built. In the WMG comparison against an installed Siemens 2.3MW wind turbine, the array configuration starts generating from 1 m/s against 3 to 4 m/s, weighs 1.35 tonnes per generator against 5 tonnes, and keeps turning on stored energy when the wind stops.
