An independent feasibility study by Glasgow Caledonian University, supported by Interface and the Scottish Government, examined the Generator Array fitted to an electric bus. The study concluded the system can recover airflow energy created by the vehicle's own motion and direct it to the battery or propulsion system.
Six duct configurations were analysed. A duct beneath the vehicle gave the best balance of captured airflow against drag. Across three driving cycles the study found a range extension of up to 2% of a full-charge journey, at an electrical efficiency of 70 to 90 percent.

Wind · The WMG comparison
A working proof-of-concept array has been built and tested. It can be driven by any form of renewable kinetic energy and, via an electromagnetic coupler, disconnected from the capture mechanism and driven by localised stored energy for continued rotation of the generator array and continuous energy supply.
